Coming from Ireland myself, England is a car lover's dream because there are shops like this all over the country. Really great, highly specialised mechanics who can fix up these older cars so they're like new.

It makes me frustated that Porsche choose to not have wireless carplay and that the usb is in the front of the unit and no USB out the back. Had bought it right away if it had those features

I've driven 996 C2/C4, 997. 1 C2, and 992 C4S and the truth is that ALL 3 of the older ones were more engaging and exploitable on public roads. Steering feedback and sound of the 997 was my favorite. Of course the 992 was faster, but believe it or not... Fast can get a little old. Don't believe me? Just ask anyone with a Superbike.

This was on eBay not long after it was sold by FGP. The advert was absolutely lousy with poor pictures. The owner didn't care and it went for just over £18k. I missed it by about £5. Gutted isn't the word!! Absolutely stunning.

The 997 was designed as a convertible to provide maximum rigidity with the roof down. The roof was added afterwards for marginally more rigidity. You would not notice the difference unless you are tracking it.

I had that split washer pipe on my 981 Cayman - took it to porsche to fix under warranty and they just put some tape on it!

Hello, do you repair customer cars too? Sorry I haven't done research on you guys but just watched a video and the work you do is absolutely brilliant. I have 987.1 3.4S and it is due for major service in 2 months time and a week ago it started showing me the Tiptronic Emergency Run message after it came out of hibernation. Atlas Grey is is such a beautiful color. For the most part it’s a bluish grey but sometimes it looks black. It’s a color you just have to see in person.

This is my 996. As Luke said, there was nothing wrong with the tyres fitted, as it’s been stored away from the sun, but they were a dozen years old. I doubt I’ll use up a set of tyres anytime soon & so invested in new ones. Also, if I was to sell it in a few years, a next owner might understandably baulk. The car wasn’t cheap, but in all respects, it looks, smells and drives like a year-old 996. The 40th anniversary edition cars have that gorgeous GT silver paint, a more powerful motor and it now has a very good spec.

You all consistently have the *best* 996/997 content out there. Thanks for keeping it up. Would love someday to see an episode where you showcase the cars that you personally own and drive. I'm imagining that Ollie keeps an old Hilux around that he never has to lay a glove on...

How does it handle and feel compared to the C2 hard top? Do you notice the additional weight up top of the glass roof at all?

spec of this one is sweet and it's low mileage. I like the black radio + climate control surrounds, rear wiper delete, no sunroof, hard back seats... I could go on!

This very car was reviewed by JayEmm On Cars. Very positively, with one exception, the MO30 suspension, JayEmm found too stiff for use anywhere other than very smooth roads.

Four years later, last week I collected my first 911 from Luke at FGP. What a car, superb business. 996 40th Anniversary Edition now in my garage.

The door handles look like they’re modelled on something living.

Changeover valves and dynamic engine mounts are a very common failure point in 991.1’s. Also the air oil separator.

I just bought an 01 C2 factory Aerokit, with 18in twists.
